Airports across the Caribbean affected by Tropical Storm Erika

Tropical storm Erika has caused the closure of Dominica’s Douglas-Charles Airport and other airports in the Eastern Caribbean. Dominica’s Airport is under flood waters forcing LIAT to cancel all their flights into and out of that station.
Several other airports in the LIAT network remain closed time due to the passage of Tropical Storm Erika, including Antigus’s V. C. Bird International Airport which will remain closed until 4:00 am on Friday 28th August. All of LIAT’s flights north of Antigua have been cancelled. The airline is asking affected passengers to continue to monitoring their website (www.liat.com), Facebook and Twitter Pages for information.
The storm continues on its westerly path where it will impact the Turks and Caicos Islands, prompting the airport authority there to announce the closure of their airports.
