A Caribbean Airlines flight from New York’s JFK airport made an emergency landing at Fort Lauderdale early Wednesday morning. A statement from the airline said that BW 016 was bound for Kingston, Jamaica experienced technical difficulties.
The aircraft landed Fort Lauderdale International airport about 4.41 a.m. EST. without incident where passengers and crew disembarked.
In keeping with international aviation industry practice, Caribbean Airlines promises to conduct a full investigation with the manufacturer and regulators to ensure the identification of the cause.
Caribbean Airline reported that arrangements are being made for the onward travel of all passengers, and that their safety and that of the crew remains the airline’s number one priority.
