Dynamic Airways recruits 25 Guyanese Flight Attendants
Dynamic Airways, through their Guyanese partner Roraima Airways, has recruited 25 Guyanese to serve as cabin attendants on the airline’s Boeing 767 aircraft.
The US-based international carrier which has partnered with Roraima Airways for the last three years is marking the significant milestone with the hiring and training of an additional 25 young Guyanese cabin crew members. The recruitment comes ahead of the airline’s plan to begin daily flights between New York and Guyana.
Captain Gerry Gouveia, Managing Director or Roraima Airways, in a statement said that his company is pleased to be in the forefront of job creation of young Guyanese people.
He alluded to that fact that his company which started with four employees 25 years ago has grown to a team approximately 300 spanning sixteen divisions across the travel and tourism industry.
The Roraima/Dynamic partnership has thus far trained 31 flight attendants and the 25 new recruits will take that number to 56 since the union.
The flight attendant training will commence on the June 12, 2017 and end on July 31, 2017. Upon completion of the training, the flight attendants will serve on all the routes plied by Dynamic Airways.
Chief Pilot of Dynamic Airways, Captain Carlson, said that the airline is committed to serving the New York – Guyana route and that an emerging market such as Guyana need this support. He added “Dynamic Airways is committed to affordable, reliable and safe operations.”
In 2016, Dynamic Airways operated 224 flights, moving approximately 80,000 passengers with an 80% on time departure.
So far for 2017, the airline has operated 100 flights and moved about 35,000 passengers with a 95% on time departure.
