Cessna Aircraft crashes at Eteringbang, Pilot Dies

A single-engine aircraft crashed upon landing at Eteringbang, a remote mining community in western Guyana on Thursday evening around 17:45, according to a senior official from the Guyana Civil Aviation Authority.

The Cessna 206 registered (8R-GHB) to Fenix Airways was piloted by Captain Randy Liverpool, a former Air Traffic Controller, who perished in the accident.

This mishap comes on the heels of another plane crash on Monday in which the pilot, Lincoln Gomez, and another occupant escaped with minor injuries.
