Boeing’s fourth 777X took off from Paine Field on Sunday from the first time. The 777-9 made a successful maiden flight over Washington state before landing at Seattle’s Boeing Field. The plane, WH004, joins the rest of the 777X fleet and will test cabin systems, extended operations and more as part of the robust test program.
The first 777X made its maiden flight in January, with the second and third taking off in April and August respectively. The aircraft program has sufferend many delays but Boeing expects it to enter commercial passenger service in 2022.
