Guyana Air Traffic Controllers make donation to Cancer Institute

The Guyana Association of Air Traffic Controllers (GAATCO) on Friday made a donation of GYD$50,000 (US$250) to the Guyana Cancer Institute. The gesture from the air traffic controllers came days after the fraternity celebrated International Air Traffic Controllers (ATC) Day.
Secretary of GAATCO, David Low told Guyana Aviation that the body decided to make a charitable donation since the COVID-19 pandemic prohibited then from congregating to observe ATC Day. Guyana Cancer Institute was chosed as it was observing Breast Cancer Awareness month.
Low said that GAATCO was happy to make the small donation which will be used by the Institute in their fight against cancer.
The Guyana Association of Air Traffic Controllers has been promoting and representing the local air traffic controllers for several decades.
