interCaribbean Airways on Friday opened an office at the Giftland Mall in Guyana to service its passengers. According to the staff manning the office, it will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Although tickets can be purchased on the airline’s website or from any travel agent, the office will satisfy those customers who prefer to deal directly with airline agents or pay for their tickets using cash.
interCaribbean Airways began daily flights between Guyana and Barbados on December 17 with the Embraer E145 regional jet.
Speaking during the ceremony of airline’s inaugural flight, its C.E.O. Trevor Saddler said that his company plans to invest heavily in human resources in the Guyana market, hiring pilots, flight attendants and other support staff.
