Pilot Training

There are currently no flight schools in Guyana, so any pilot training would have to be done overseas.

    1. Air Traffic Control training is done by Guyana Civil Aviation Authority after you are hired as an Air Traffic Control Assistant.

  2. Hi everyone my name is Navin Cadogan I am just 15 years of age, bet I just love the marvelous engineering of plane and I want to some day became a pilot but I don’t know where to start. How can I become a pilot?

    1. Hello Navin, your age suggests that you are still in high school so I would recommend that you master both Maths and Physics as these would be important for your training ans career as a pilot. There are currently no flight schools in Guyana, so depending on your budget, you would have to choose either Trinidad or the USA to go do your flight training. There is the option of joining the Guyana Defence Force as a cadet officer and then selecting the Air Corps where they will train you to be a pilot.
